When Dixon first showed me this painting on his phone, I thought it was a photograph. It is actually a painting of his work desk he uses in one of his art classes. I must admit, I was amazed. The paper, pencil, and graffiti were all painted or drawn by him.

Grace has painted several of these pop art silhouettes. She usually does celebrities, such as John Wayne, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Monroe. This is of her boyfriend Jake.

Gwynn won 3rd place for this painting in a school-wide art competition at Madison Central. The photo doesn't do it justice. The texture is wonderful, I think.
These are great. I especially love Dixon's--very sophisticated, wow! Super nice piece. Great concept and execution. It's like Ralph Goings meets Basquiat. Please pass along my compliments. I'm not surprised Dixon--you were a fantastic artist even as a little guy!
